Photograph of Dr. Christopher Wolfgang Christopher L. Wolfgang, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and an attending surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Wolfgang obtained his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and residency training in General Surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Wolfgang has obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, also from Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Wolfgang has completed a research fellowship in surgical oncology from Penn State and a clinical fellowship in gastrointestinal surgery at Johns Hopkins. His primary clinical interests are cancers and benign disease of the liver, pancreas, bile duct and gallbladder. His major scientific interest is in the biological behavior of pancreatic cancers.
