David M. Berman, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Berman is an expert urologic pathologist and the recipient of a prestigious R01 research award from the National Institutes of Health for his bladder cancer research program. His laboratory investigates the causes of bladder cancer, and the mechanisms used by bladder cancers to grow, invade normal tissues, and travel outside of the bladder (metastasize). The aim of these studies is to develop improved therapies that prevent bladder cancer spread more effectively, with fewer toxic side effects for the patient.
