Christian P. Pavlovich, M.D.


Dr. Christian Pavlovich is an Assistant Professor of Urology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Director of Urologic Oncology and an Attending Urologist at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical. Dr. Pavlovich obtained his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco. He received his residency training in urology at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Pavlovich came to Johns Hopkins after completing a urologic oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. He is experienced in open, laparoscopic, and other minimally invasive procedures for the management of urologic tumors. In the laboratory, Dr. Pavlovich has studied angiogenesis in bladder cancer, and helped characterize a syndrome that predisposes families to kidney cancer. As Director of Urologic Oncology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, he continues to treat cancer with an emphasis on minimizing morbidity and maximizing quality of life.
