Bone Histomorphometry Laboratory
Edward F. McCarthy, M.D., Laboratory Director
Dr. McCarthy is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Orthopaedic Surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his doctor of medicine from the University of Chicago. He trained in Orthopaedic Surgery and Pathology at the University of Iowa and completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Pathology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Dr. McCarthy is currently an attending Surgical Pathologist with a special interest in orthopaedic pathology. He is also the Director of the Bone Histomorphometry Laboratory and consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. McCarthy can be reached at the following address:
