Chapter 12: Urine
Benign Conditions
 
Degenerated cells and debris, consistent with an ileal conduit urine.  The ileal epithelial cells are rounded and contain globular eosinophilic cytoplasmic inclusions.  No urothelial cells are seen in this specimen.  Occasionally, urothelial cells may shed from the attached ureters.  (Ileal bladder specimen, Pap, 630x)
