| The Second Annual Run for George organized by The Rubis Family on Sunday, November 14, 2004 was another wonderful success! Martha McKay, reporter for The Bergen Record, reported that "Ninety runners and walkers streamed through the quiet streets of Englewood Cliffs on Sunday morning in the second annual Run for George." The event not only included the race, but a silent auction, children's games and wonderful homemade Greek food. Local businesses contributed to the silent auction or provided other services, but the big congratulations of the fundraising event goes to The Rubis Family for their tireless efforts in organizing the second annual Run for George. George Rubis would certainly be proud of his family for fighting back against pancreatic cancer. |
