Your donation to the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of Female Reproductive Cancer will be greatly appreciated. All donations will be exclusively used for research purpose. More specifically, your precious giving will subsidize part of the cost in ovarian cancer genomic study that is not funded by other resources. To appreciate your donation, we will send you a complimentary photographic work from Dr. Shih (11" X 14" print) on your own selection from Dr. Shih's photography gallery (with >$200 donation). Please contact Dr. Shih for the details if you wish to make a donation (410-502-7774 or e-mail: ishih@jhmi.edu).

Why your donation is important for us to fight with ovarian and breast cancer?

Ovarian and breast cancer represent the most lethal diseases in women. The main reason for the lack of success in diagnosing ovarian and breast cancer at an early stage and treating it effectively is our lack of understanding of its etiology. Until the basic biology of ovarian cancer is more clearly understood, attempts at developing new diagnostic methods and therapy will remain empiric. Therefore, your donations will be used in the study of how ovarian and breast cancer develop and how we can apply the knowledge to clinical practice.
