  • Defined by an exuberant number of implantation site IT
  • Numerous multinucleated IT
  • A physiological process without clinical significance
  • Differential diagnosis with PSTT
    • presence of villi or fetal parts
    • absence of proliferation
    • less cytological atypia

    • b-hCG continues to decline
